Mom Life: Counting Down the Seconds until Inevitable Detonation

The name Ticking Time Momb symbolizes the anger, aggravation, & frustration that comes with being a mom.

Moms are constantly seconds away from detonation.

We really do try to defuse the bomb most of the time.

Oftentimes we successfully clip the correct disarming wire👏👍

But if you’re anything like me, there are days you don’t even have the scissors.

The Toddler does.

Well, today was one of those days where The Toddler had the scissors.

Who uses the 3-count to instill fear into their children?

That sounds harsh. But you know you’ve been there.

When I was a kid, I was terrified of the 3-count.

I’ve never been much of a thrill-seeker, so I don’t even remember my parents ever getting to 3.

So when I decided to try it on The Toddler it became abundantly clear that unlike his mother,

THE TODDLER IS A BONAFIDE THRILL SEEKER.

THE TODDLER DOESN’T FEAR THE 3-COUNT.

APPARENTLY THE LIL ADRENALINE JUNKY FEEDS OFF MOM RAGE CAUSE HE SURE AS HELL DOESN’T FEAR IT.

“You have until the count of 3…” I said.

Y’all.

I barely got to one.

Not because of the 3-count worked.

That crap does not work.

I only made it to one before this child took my 3-count CRUMPLED IT UP INTO A LITTLE BALL & THREW IT BACK IN MY FACE.

This child looked me straight in the eye & started screaming

“ONEEEE! TWOOOOO! THREEEEEE!” “BLAAAST OFFFF!!!!”

He was literally counting down the few seconds left on this time sensitive explosive.

But guess what, The Toddler doesn’t fear explosions either.

So yeah, I’d say choosing the name “TickingTime Momb” pretty much nailed the essence of motherhood on the head.

You caputure the rituals of motherhood, the rites of passage that bring back the most awful yet at the same time most hilarious moments of motherhood. I have to say that as a grandparent it is freaking hilarious and yet I am so happy that this type of support exists in this day and age, no longer does the frustrated mom need to feel to feel isolated.
